How is DeBruhl Environmental Excavating different from its competitors?

DeBruhl Environmental was incorporated in 1990 providing us with almost 30 years of experience. We have successfully removed more underground heating oil tanks than any other firm in North Carolina. Our goal is to leave every job site in better condition than when we arrived. Safety is our top priority and in 29 years of removing UST's, we have never had an insurance claim.

Is soil sampling required when an underground heating oil tank is removed?

Soil sampling from a UST basin is currently not required by the state of North Carolina. However, if a soil sample is taken and the analytical results are above regulatory standards, additional work will need to be performed.

Are lending institutions sometimes reluctant to make loans unless underground storage tanks are removed?

Yes, various lenders have different requirements regarding the issue of buried oil tanks. A buyer should always check with their lending institution before making an offer on a property with a buried oil tank to make sure the buyer understands the lender requirements.

Do insurance companies write homeowners policies for properties with an underground storage tank?

Many insurance companies will not insure properties where there is an underground heating oil tank.
